Escrow Service

The Grand Central Pets Escrow Service is in place to give both our buyers and sellers the peace of mind that isn�t always available when making an online purchase.

By using the Grand Central Pets Escrow Service our members that are selling their animals will know for sure that the funds for the purchase amount have already been deposited into our account and will be released upon pick-up or delivery of the animal.

Buyers on our site will have the knowledge that if the animal they have tried to purchase does not meet their standards or is not delivered as promised their funds can be safely returned without any hassle.

The Grand Central Pets Escrow Service charges an 8% service fee for each transaction made on the site (i.e. If an animal requires a deposit there would be a service fee when we collect the deposit for you and a service fee when we collect the remaining purchase amount). The service fee is used to cover transaction costs and fees we are charged by our financial institutions when processing your transaction. The service fee is deducted from the seller's purchase amount when funds are deposited into the escrow account. Once the request for release of funds is finalized a check for the remaining 92% of the purchase amount will be mailed to the seller within 3-5 business days.
